Welsh actor Michael Sheen delivers a wonderful reading of Dylan Thomas' spooky short story which was originally published in World Review, October 1952 then collected posthumously in 'A Prospect of The Sea'

'The Followers' notes a wet evening shared between 'old man' and Leslie, two voyeuristic men who secretly observe the goings on of two women, Hetty and Hermione through a window before being spooked by a ghostly, mysterious third voice from inside the house...

The setting of the story is Swansea but with a very strange, warped topography - the protagonists walk along streets that quite often, are large distances apart in reality. For example Inkerman Street can be found in the St. Thomas area of Swansea on the East side of the River Tawe but in the story it connects to 'Paradise Passage' which is based on 'Salubrious Passage' found just off Wind Street and on the other side of the river. It is quite interesting and equally eerie to note that it is the only one of Dylan's Swansea stories in which he mischievously plays with the topography.
