YOUR HOTEL'S LOCATION MATTERS

Hotels in Koh Phi Phi are located either in the town center, which features the main pier (Tonsai Pier) along with numerous bars and restaurants, or in the secluded outer areas, accessible only by boat.

Staying in the city center offers plenty of dining options and vibrant nightlife. However, a significant drawback is the noise; loud music can continue until 3 AM, making this area unsuitable for families.

In contrast, the secluded areas provide a much quieter environment, allowing you to relax and enjoy nature. However, dining options are limited to in-house facilities, and you might incur transfer fees to reach the city center at night. Overall, the secluded areas are a better choice for families seeking a peaceful retreat.

HOW TO GET TO KOH PHI PHI

I recommend booking transportation through your hotel, as they provide the most convenient way to reach their property. You’ll be picked up at the airport and safely transported to your accommodation.

If this option isn't available, you can travel to Koh Phi Phi from either Phuket or Krabi. From the airport, you'll need to take a van, bus, or taxi to the piers offering ferry or speedboat services to Koh Phi Phi (see below).

The simplest solution is to purchase a local insect repellent, which is readily available in convenience stores and malls. You can also request it from the hotel, but it is recommended to buy one, as you will likely need it when leaving your accommodation for excursions.
