Welcome back to another episode of our Honeymoon Diaries!

Kyoto truly has a special place in our hearts, and we packed so much into this trip that it’s hard to pick a favorite moment! We started our day early (seriously, we were at Fushimi Inari Taisha before 7 AM) to experience the iconic red Torii gates with almost no one else around—such a peaceful and magical way to kick things off. 😍

After soaking in the serene atmosphere, we headed to Tōji, home to Japan’s tallest wooden pagoda, which felt like stepping back in time with its beautiful traditional gardens and architecture. From there, we hopped on a rickshaw ride—a must-do if you want to explore Kyoto’s historic streets in style. Our guide was incredible, taking us from Yasaka Shrine through Gion and sharing stories about Kyoto’s rich history. 🛶

We couldn’t resist visiting the Ghibli & Peter Rabbit Museum (it was a dream come true!) and then popped into a charming antique store, where we found some seriously cool treasures. Kyoto’s second-hand shops are next level—everything’s in such amazing condition!

Of course, we had to try on some kimonos while we were here! We found the cutest little shop, Kimono Kitamura, and had so much fun picking out our outfits. Wearing traditional garments like that really made the experience feel extra special. And speaking of special, Yasui-Konpiragu Shrine was such a unique stop—it’s known for its 'power stone' that helps break off bad ties and start fresh. 🧘‍♀️

To top it all off, we enjoyed the most delicious soba noodles (seriously, the tempura was to die for) and ended our day with the highlight of our trip—meeting a real-life geisha. We got to watch a performance, learn about their fascinating culture, and it was truly one of the most memorable experiences we’ve ever had.

This was one of those days that we’ll be talking about for years to come, and we’re so excited to share it with you! If you’re into exploring the hidden gems of Japan, or just love the magic of Kyoto like we do, you’ll definitely enjoy this vlog. 💫
