Aluchi patal bhaji is a yummy recipe from Maharashtra. This is made from colacassia leaves or patra leaves. This is a traditional Maharashtrian recipe. it is cooked in spices, coconut and other ingredients which lend it a unique flavour.

It is made with colacassia leaves with dark colour stem . where as alu vadi or patra is made from leaves with light colour stem


Ingredients
5 patra leaves or colocasia leaves with dark colour stems

1i4 cup chana dal / split Bengal gram

1/4 cup peanuts


1/4 cup besan / chickpeas flour


1/8 cup jaggery


1/4 cup tamarind


2 tsp red chilli powder


1/2 tsp turmeric powder


2 tsp goda masala


1/2 cup grated coconut


1 green chilli


coriander leaves

4 cloves garlic

1 tsp each of mustar and cumin seeds


1 tsp curry leaves


2 green chillies


10 cloves garlic
