In this water wheel irrigation system, bulls pull up water from water course or a well. Farmers use a large metal wheel with buckets and tie it above the water source. Bulls or oxen move the wheel and fetch the water up. This eco friendly water irrigation system is known as water wheel, persian wheel, rehat water wheel dhekli, rahat, jhallaar or jhatta in different parts of Pakistan, India and various other areas of the world.
