A bit of history: On November 4, 1939, John Lair’s dream came to life when he hosted the first-ever Renfro Valley Barn Dance. That Saturday night performance became a landmark in country music, laying the foundation for decades of entertainment to follow. John Lair’s vision was simple: deliver the best entertainment possible, keep it family-friendly, and treat every guest like a neighbor.

Today, Renfro Valley Entertainment Center is proudly owned by John and Julie Enneking. With a hands-on approach, they’ve created a strong bond with their employees, who they consider friends. John and Julie are deeply involved in the day-to-day operations, working hard to preserve the rich tradition and southern hospitality that make Renfro Valley a beloved destination. They're honored to be part of this iconic place’s 85-year history.
