#USDM is a stablecoin that is issued in a non-gold-backed manner, iterating upon existing gold-backed stablecoins such as USDT, USDC, and DAI. It aims to empower the real economy and was conceived by a group of blockchain enthusiasts and crypto OGs while exploring the token economy of Web 3.0. The idea has now been put into practice since January,2023. The following is a brief introduction:

Creator: USDM was anonymously created by a DAO organization based in California, USA. Similar to Bitcoin, it is fully anonymous and decentralized.

Face Value: It is anchored on the blockchain at a price of 1 USDM = 1 USDT = 1 US dollar and maintained by a consensus circle. There is no collateralization or redemption involved.

Supply: USDM is issued according to the demand of real-world businesses and users. It is not limited by collateral assets and can be issued as needed.

Appreciation: The value of the digital assets corresponding to USDM is increased by the developer community. Currently, it appreciates at a compounded rate of 1% per day, equivalent to an annual appreciation of 37.8 times.

Circulation: USDM is only intended for peer-to-peer circulation and does not engage in on-chain exchanges with other cryptocurrencies. Similar to the original design of Bitcoin, it serves as a peer-to-peer electronic cash.

Security: Being the only unregulated stablecoin in the world, USDM is issued through distributed storage and shares the same level of security as Bitcoin.
