On October 3, 2019 the University of Maryland College of Education (COE) and Dean Jennifer King Rice presented COE's inaugural Terrapin EdTalks. In this College of Education centennial celebration event, we featured five faculty talks that highlight how the college is paving the way to advance equity in Maryland and beyond.

Dr. Patricia A. Alexander presents her Terrapin EdTalk titled, "The "Non-Smart" Use of Smart Technologies: The New Digital Divide for Today's iGeneration." During this talk Dr. Alexander encourages the audience to think about the over- or misuse of technology by today's iGeneration and the impact the new digital divide has on connections between peers.
