War Thunder's Tank Destroyer Problem

War Thunder's ground vehicle classes are pretty balanced for the most part, but tank destroyers are the exception to that rule. They aren't really overpowered, just often redundant. We'll be talking about that, and what Gaijin could do to alleviate it.
