THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor Baiju Santhosh was arrested by the Museum Police after causing a late-night accident at Vellayambalam Junction while allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol. The incident occurred around 11:45 pm when Baiju, driving at high speed, hit a two-wheeler at the junction. The actor was on his way to his home near Police Headquarters with his daughter when the accident took place.
According to reports, Baiju was trying to turn his vehicle around a barricade set up for road construction when he collided with the two-wheeler. His car also hit two posts—one on the traffic island and another nearby—before coming to a halt.
Following the accident, the police responded swiftly, with officers from the control room arriving at the scene. The injured two-wheeler rider was immediately transported to the General Hospital for treatment. Baiju and his daughter were subsequently taken to the Museum Police Station.
