Single Tonguing - Flute Tube, Episode 52

Описание к видео Single Tonguing - Flute Tube, Episode 52

Here I talk about how to single tongue on the flute. We go WAY BEYOND the basics of what you're supposed to do, to address many potential pitfalls and problems. On the bright side, we also discuss tools you can use to enhance your basic approach to articulation. Of course these are tools that can be applied either directly to yourself, and/or to students.

This topic is one of the more controversial among flutists. (Ooooooh, Flute Controversy!) My approach is most definitely my own, earned through all of my hours of practice. HOWEVER, I have been heavily influenced by many teachers, mentors, and colleagues, no question some of the very best in the world. I mention some of them directly in this video, but others are simply lurking in the background of my own brain. 😜 They include Michel Debost, Kathleen Chastain, Carol Wincenc, Linda Chesis, Julius Baker, Joan Marie Bauman, and ideas reported to me as coming straight from Moyse, Kincaid, Rampal, etc.

I'll include chapters in this video as outlined below so you can, we hope, find what you're looking for.
