Chris is selling his new Pepper Sauce | Perez Leather Holsters & Shirts and will autograph those items. Any other item will be a case by case basis.

Whether Chris Perez’s new line of hot sauce will feature a holster remains to be seen, but Selena fans are already referencing the 1997 “I can eat a whole medium pizza by myself” movie scene.

The Queen of Tejano’s widower shared a sneak peek of “Perez Pepper Sauce” with his fans Friday on social media. The guitarist posted the lion logo he plans on using for the line he said will be released soon.

“The Lion represents the ‘King of the Jungle’ and just like Budweiser is the King of Beers, maybe one day with your support ‘Perez Pepper Sauce’ will be the King of Hot Sauce,” he wrote in a post on Friday.

Fans flooded the post with well wishes, excitement and references to the interaction between Jennifer Lopez and Jon Seda as they played out one of Selena and Chris’ first dates in the 1997 movie.

“Do you really put it on the pizza like they portrayed you doing in the Selena movie,” Facebook user Patricia Vieja Perez asked. “I have always wondered if you had a hot sauce holster.”

In the scene, Chris kicks up the pizza talk a notch by pulling a small bottle of sauce from a holster strapped to the waistband of his jeans. “They can’t make food hot enough for me,” Seda, or Chris, says before dousing his pizza in hot sauce.

The real Chris Perez proved that to be true in a recent TV appearance on “Houston Life.”

He said his love for spice started as a child when he accidentally ate chile de árbol, or Mexican chili pepper. He also took a shot of hot sauce without any issue for the “Too Hot To Handle” challenge. Perez said he “sometimes” starts his mornings with hot sauce shots. He finishes the taste test by taking a brave bite of a pepper after suffering through ghost pepper chips.

Others fans vowed to support his new venture as soon as the sauce is ready for purchase. Perez said information on how to buy Perez Pepper Sauce online and in stores will be shared in time for the holidays.
