SOME TERMS EXPLAINED: If you have not studied anthropology but are using this lecture as a reference for your General studies or other examinations papers, some of the terms may be new to you. “Endogamous” means a society in which people traditionally marry within their own community. “Kinship” is a ‘family relationship’, which can be a blood relation or a relation by marriage.
