You're buying a house, YAYYYY! It has solar? Booooooo! Well, maybe not, BUT. You NEED to have a great Title Co. and a great agent to help you navigate the waters. This last one was a horror show. The solar co. went bankrupt, new company took over the day AFTER the papers were filed. New company didn't have all the files yet, so they couldn't process it in the usual 3-7 days. Their website says 30-60 DAYS to transfer. A closing on a home is usually 30 days. What does that mean for you? Don't give up your rental just yet, you may not close on time. Again, get all of the solar co information that you possibly can and get that transfer started the second you are out of attorney review!
