New Hampshire Attorney General Michael Delaney:
"Through this review our citizens can be assured that we will learn from and take away from this tragedy everything we can, and that knowledge will be carried forward to all police officers in the betterment of future law enforcement efforts.//There is a danger inherent in the nature of the work, and I think there's also an obligation on our part in light of that reality, an obligation and a responsibility that when officers are killed or injured we do everything we can as a law enforcement community to learn and to educate ourselves going forward.//There were heroic efforts certainly by Chief Maloney and others that were present to get the officers that were struck out of harm's way, and in the process of responding to that, we obviously know that Chief Maloney tragically lost his life and four officers were wounded but were able to be brought to safety."
