Sharad Purnima is one of the most divine and auspicious full moon nights in Hindu tradition. It is dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Krishna. On this night, it is believed that the moon showers nectar (Amrit) upon the Earth. The kheer (sweet rice pudding) kept under the moonlight becomes blessed and full of divine energy.

🌸 Date & Time (Sharad Purnima 2025):

Purnima Begins: Sunday, 5 October 2025 – 7:15 PM

Purnima Ends: Monday, 6 October 2025 – 5:41 PM


🌼 Auspicious Timings (Shubh Muhurat):

Lakshmi Puja (Nishita Kaal): 11:30 PM – 12:45 AM

Moonlight Offering (Kheer Darshan): Around 12:00 Midnight


🪔 Puja Vidhi (Worship Method):
1️⃣ Take a holy bath and wear clean clothes.
2️⃣ Worship Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu or Lord Krishna.
3️⃣ Prepare kheer (milk and rice) and place it under the open sky in the moonlight.
4️⃣ Next morning, consume the kheer as divine prasadam.

🌕 Spiritual Significance:

On this night, the moonlight is filled with healing and divine power.

It is also known as Kojagari Purnima, when Goddess Lakshmi blesses those who remain awake in devotion.

Lord Krishna performed the Maha Raas Leela with the Gopis on this sacred night.
