'নীলষষ্ঠী' হল বাংলা চৈত্র মাসের সেই দিন যখন বাঙালিরা দেবী পার্বতীর সঙ্গে শিবের বিবাহ উদযাপন করে ভগবানকে পূজা করে। এই পূজা বিবাহিত মহিলারা তাদের স্বামী ও সন্তানদের জন্য ভগবানের আশীর্বাদ পাওয়ার জন্য করে থাকে।
