Charity Lawson 'Respects' Maria Georgas Turning Down 'Bachelorette'

Charity Lawson is stepping out at the Variety Power of Women event! The former “Bachelorette” star told Access Hollywood guest correspondent Emily Orozco about the honor of attending the event and celebrating the honorees. Plus, she shared the advice she gave Jenn Tran, the next “Bachelorette,” and reacted to Maria Georgas’ revelation on “Call Her Daddy” that she turned down the role. “When it comes to ‘The Bachelorette,’ it’s a huge decision. The fact that Maria took that choice for herself to not take the role out of protecting her mental health, but also knowing that she probably wasn’t in the best place to do it, I respect it so much … Hats off to you, Maria. You’re going to find your person,” she said. Plus, Charity shared how she celebrated her one-year anniversary with her fiancé and final rose recipient Dotun Olubeko.
