Exotic paradise: Khao Lak 2023 - Relaxing Holiday in Thailand - Travel Video

We took a trip to Khao Lak Thailand over the Thanksgiving holiday week in 2023.

I figured while we wait (patiently?) for our van to be finished for our first trip coming up in June I should finally sit down and edit a complete 16x9 version. Previously I'd only done quick 9x16 vertical daily videos for FB.

Thailand is great! The exchange rate makes for cheap travel - it's just the trip there/back that is brutal. Tropical weather is my jam. For me (LEV) I don't know that I ever need to go back. The 24+ hours of traveling plus jet lag is too much. I think I'll drive to the Florida Keys next time I need the tropics...

We celebrated our 29th anniversary on the overnight flight back home.

I'd just gotten the Insta360 RS 1-inch 360 version and was figuring out how to use it while on the trip. In the end it was the perfect camera for this. Compact and easy to film with (no need to point it anywhere because it captures EVERYTHING) then just simple edit on the phone app. I've been learning the tricks more lately.
