Care tips for Cycas Revoluta (The Sago Palm)
It is more closely related to conifers than Palms and does produce a cone.
Not Hardy in the UK. Move to a light but frost free environment
Requires Great drainage. Add grit and extra hole in a plastic pot.
Loves good soil but must be well drained, the roots can suffer from root rot, allow to dry out between watering.
Feed regularly during the growing season but do not feed or overwater during dormancy.
Enjoys direct sunlight and part shade.
Most parts of the plant are poisonous, handle with care.
Revoluta comes from the fact that the leaves appear to revolve/curl in on themselves in a kind of tunnel formation (revolve)
