How to Repair INTERMATIC (Mechanical) Hot Water Heater Timer!!

Within less than a year after purchasing our Intermatic hot water timer, the yellow dial wouldn't turn past the "on" or "off" trippers. After taking the trippers off for the past year, I finally decided to see if I should replace it or try and repair the hot water heater timer. The repair costs less than $25 and a new timer was over $50, so I decided to go with the repair. These timers are very simple and there isn't too much to them. There are motors that might night have the same number stamped on them that work with a variety of different timers. Typically they will be listed on the website you purchase it from if it is compatible or not.
