In this video I show how to repair the tail animation of a Kit-Cat Klock when the animation coil has detached.

Instructions (From Kit-Cat customer care):
The little disk (about quarter-size) below the batteries is the animation coil. The coil has a circuit board on the back, which has little tabs that should snap in place to hold it there. To gain access to the coil assembly, you will need a small Phillips screwdriver and possibly a pair of pliers. Place the clock face down on a towel with batteries removed. There is a small screw in the center of the lever near the top battery contact. Try holding the screwdriver upright with firm downward pressure and use the pliers to turn the handle of the screwdriver (helps to have another person). Once you remove the screw, be careful not to lose it. Pull out the black retaining piece of plastic (save this also), then the lever will be free. Put pressure behind the 4 corners of the battery box (the whole black thing you see when you look in the back) to break the glue that attaches the unit to the sides of the clock. Then it will slide out and you'll have access to the circuit board. To reattach it, slide it back in all the way on the 4 ledges on the sides and place a drop or 2 of glue where the ledges meet the battery box.
