Isophote/Iso angle analysis in Solidworks using draft analysis

Описание к видео Isophote/Iso angle analysis in Solidworks using draft analysis

A while ago I noticed you can use the draft analysis (not the gradual transition) in conjunction with the adjustment triad to get feedback on surface flow and continuity.

After digging deeper I discovered the draft fragment shader file in the SW install directory. It's pretty easy to find. So after some evenings of trial and error I found how I can use the 'gradual transition' function in draft analysis to create alternating stripes at 2.5 degrees (or other angles).

The definition of an isophote is 'a line in a diagram connecting points where the intensity of light is the same' so in this case, the stripes indicate places on the surface that are the same angle from the reference plane.

My next goal is to create this as an add with options for stripe thickness, angle etc in conjunction with having an adjustment triad... Cheers.
