And part of that responsibility is stopping counterfeit and falsified products before they reach American consumers -- a significant challenge made more difficult by sheer volume and the need for scientific analysis. To meet this challenge, FDA scientists have developed CD-3, a counterfeit detection device that provides a real time, low cost, portable solution that can be deployed almost anywhere.
