The Irish of 9/11 (Ground Zero Clip): Motive Television

The Irish of 9/11 was an hour long television programme, broadcast on the tenth anniversary, recounting the stories of some of the Irish involved with the disaster in New York. Many of the first responders where Irish American, as well as many of those who were working in the twin towers at the time. The documentary takes a look back at the events of that fateful day with interviews from the friends and families of those involved.

The programme was nominated for an IFTA in 2012.

The programme was first broadcast on the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy, at 9pm on the 6th September, 2011.
