Day 6 | Ever wondered what you should really know before you step onboard a Yacht as Crew?

There is nothing more scary than leaving everything you know to fly around the world in the hope of securing a job on a yacht!

Getting the right certificates, knowing where to go, having enough funds to get by till a job comes about. And to make matters worse, every yacht is asking that you have experience before you step onboard... WHAAAAAAT is a person to do?

I thought a few little pointers might help point you in the right direction. So if I miss anything, and I'm sure I will, make sure you drop them in the comments section below!

Given there are soo many things that you need to know, understanding how a yacht operates is key, understanding what position and your role might be, and then having the knowledge will help you immensely.

You have a lot of competition for each and every job, so the only thing you can do is shine like a star. Do things differently, introduce yourself to EVERYONE. Don't be shy, shy won't get you employed.
