Kandi's journey to overcoming the pain of Peripheral Neuropathy has been a struggle.
She has endured years of testing from dozens of doctors without a diagnosis.
Then she found Dr. Demetrio Aguila, a peripheral nerve surgeon focused on relieving chronic pain.
Together they are working to resolve her issues.
She's not out of pain yet but this video shows how far she has come since meeting Dr. Aguila.

Kandi:
I have seen three neurologists, had nerve conduction studies of my whole body from head to toe.
I have had brain MRIs and spinal MRIs; x-rays and blood tests and no one could figure out what was wrong with me.

Within the first two minutes Dr. Aguila walked in and said he thought he knew what was wrong with me. I did not expect that.
Then he examined me and said I am 95% sure I know what is wrong with you and I am 95% sure that I can help you.

He knows every part of the anatomy of nerves, it is unbelievable.
He is a brilliant doctor.

Craig (Kandi’s husband):
I watched all his videos on YouTube just as she did, and it is the same person you see in the video. He is genuine he does not leave the room until every question has been answered. I was highly impressed by that.

I could tell that she had relief because she pretty much sobbed the whole way back to Iowa.

Dr. Aguila:
Kandi happens to be one of those patients who develops a lot of scar
Tissue. She had scar tissue squeezing on the nerve again and causing
a lot of the discomfort she was having and so it took a while to get through that scar tissue without injuring the blood vessels or the nerves and to decompress that nerve it was an extensive amount of work
that we had to do between getting rid of the scar tissue and then also
taking all the pressure and off the nerves in the bottom of the foot in
order to unkink them so that they would start working the way that they should.

Kandi:
I prayed with god and I just said if you can just take away my pain, I can deal with anything else and so whatever it is going to be it's going to
Be and he took away my pain yeah, I got what I prayed for.

Dr. Aguila:
We are very thankful for the opportunity to take care of patients like Kandi and to be able to offer hope to people who have lost that hope.

I am just so grateful I am beyond grateful it's an answered prayer for me, Craig and our entire family.
