Wrestler Vinesh Phogat Joins Congress, Vows To Fight For Women's Rights | 'Cong Understood Our Pain'

Wrestler Vinesh Phogat expressed pride in joining the Congress party, stating that the party understands their pain and tears during the protests at Delhi's Jantar Mantar last year. Phogat and Bajrang Punia joined the party in the presence of Congress General Secretary (Organisation) KC Venugopal, party leader Pawan Khera, Haryana Congress chief Udai Bhan, and AICC in-charge of Haryana, Deepak Babaria. Phogat pledged to continue fighting for women in the country and expressed pride in joining a party that supports women and is willing to fight from 'sadak to sansad tak'. She thanked the people of the country, the media, and the Congress party for their support throughout her wrestling journey. Phogat also acknowledged that during their difficult times, all parties in the country, except BJP, stood by them and understood their pain and tears. She promised to stand with every citizen of the country, especially women, with the same determination and dedication she has shown in wrestling.
