✨️ 👑🎤🎵 Sam Cooke often called the " King of Soul" remains one of the most influential American musicians of all time.His timeless song " A Change Is Gonna Come" ( Activists Anthem) was inspired and written in 1963 after listening to Bob Dylan's " Blowin in the Wind, performed by folk trio Peter, Paul and Mary. Cooke Had also experienced a real-life event of racism. In a 1963 incident where he and his entourage were turned away from a whites- only motel in Shreveport, Louisiana, the experience was deeply humiliating , so he was inspired and felt compelled to write a song of similar power from his own perspective, He recorded the final version on December 21, 1963 at RCA Studios in Los, Angeles , with orchestral backing. Tragically , Cooke was tragically shot and passed away just two weeks before the song's release in 1964, making it his posthumous single.
