Michael J. Olson, 35 at the time in June of 2019, fatally beat and stabbed Mary Kay “Katie” Wohlfarth in her storage unit right across from his storage unit. Michael was later questioned, confessed to the murder, and then convicted of felony charges of aggravated murder, rape, gross abuse of a corpse, grand theft of a motor vehicle, and trespass in a habitation. Judge Amy Corrigall Jones sentenced him to life in prison without parole for aggravated murder, with more than 20 years to be served consecutively in connection with the other charges.
