At GMEC2025, Dr. Emma Bruce, Executive Director of Malaria Partners West Africa, outlines how grants from RAM-Global, and Community Impact Grants through Malaria Partners International, are being used to fight malaria across Rotary District 9101, which spans 10 West African countries.

She describes how local malaria committees, in partnership with national malaria control programs, are implementing targeted projects such as health center equipment purchases, community clean-up campaigns, school-based malaria screening, public awareness activities, and bed net distribution.

Examples from Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Liberia, Mali, The Gambia, and other countries show how grants are enabling testing, treatment, prevention education, and infrastructure improvements that directly benefit high-risk populations.
