Carlo Baja Guarienti is an historian affiliated with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia; he as
published essays on political and cultural history. His passion is understanding the way in which
historical events are perceived, remembered and passed on.
We owe a great deal to the ancients. Also the capacity to mystify History and model opinions.
Two thousand years on we still find it difficult to find our way through the world of fake news.

Ha pubblicato saggi di storia politica e culturale e ha insegnato Storia moderna e Didattica della storia come docente a contratto presso l'Università di Ferrara e l'Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia. Oggetto principale delle sue ricerche è il modo in cui gli eventi storici sono percepiti, ricordati e tramandati.

Carlo Baja Guarienti is an historian affiliated with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia; he has
studied at the University of Ferrara, at the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa and at the Warburg
Institute. He has published essays on political and cultural history and has taught modern history and
History teaching as a contract professor at the University of Ferrara and the University of Modena and
Reggio Emilia. The main focus of his research is the way in which historical events are perceived,
