A #productbacklog is a list of items that developers and a #productowner compile when they are working closely with customers to identify what is needed, why that matters, and how that will empower the customer to do a specific job or solve a specific problem.

#technicaldebt is what happens when developers, who write software, take shortcuts to get the job done or cut and paste rather than writing beautiful, elegant code. It gets the job done but its a bit like messy wires all over the place and soon it begins to create problems in the system.

At some point, it accumulates so much that the #scrumteam need to address it and make the necessary changes. In this short video, John McFadyen explains how the team handle technical debt in the #productbacklog
