Mamiya ZD - first impression of a rare CCD sensor medium format DSLR camera. Is it useable today?

I recently bought a Mamiya ZD with a Mamiya 80mm f1.9 manual focus lens. I was intrigued by the 36 by 48 mm large 22 mpx CCD sensor, and guessed the output of this camera would be very nice.

It's a very rare camera from 2006, as only around 2000 was made of them, and my copy has a serial number of only 1062. But why didn't is cacht on? Maybe the industry just went crazy in update mania in those early days. Many updated their cameras as soon as an update was available, I definitely must testify to have been part of that as well, although I later realized that I didn't need a new camera every year or every second year.

After a bit more that a weeks use, I find it very inspiring to use this camera, and my post process software, Darktable, reads both the jpeg and raw files nicely. There seems to be a lot of room to play with in the files, though dark areas are hard to fix, but that is just the way it usually is with CCD sensor files.

This is only my first impressions, and I'll be back with a more detailed review of this surprising camera.
