Down the Andaman Coast, across Phang Nga and a stop in Krabi

Welcome back to Episode #5 of our Southern Thailand Road Trip series. In this video we drive from Khao Lak down the Andaman coast stopping briefly at Thai Muang Beach (https://maps.app.goo.gl/nThb9o9YseAZq...) on our way to the Samet Nangshe Viewpoint (https://maps.app.goo.gl/wzVNrfmowgPbv...) overlooking the limestone karst islands that dot the fabulous Phang Nga Bay.

For anyone looking for the very best of Phuket’s beaches without the throngs of tourists and overdevelopment you won’t go wrong looking to the beaches north of Phuket. Same ocean. Same sand. No crowds.

Just don’t tell too many people...

Our plan was to spend some time in the provincial capital of Phang Nga but all the better lodging options we had short listed were full. We couldn’t find anything else in town suitable so we continued on another 1 1/2 hours to Krabi where we knew we could find a room given that it was past high season.

For those of you with time and wheels we hope this video inspires you to wander a bit off the beaten path and see parts of this beautiful country that don’t quite make it into the brochures.
