Worm's Eye View

A worm's eye journey around Karen's Little Railway. Watch out for pesky ducks!
This trip starts from the usual 'station stop', heads off around the balloon loop, then completes a trip around the main circuit in what Karen considers "the wrong direction" ending up back at the proposed station, stopping just short of the partially built points that will eventually lead to the turntable.
There are some good views of the various points and crossings in this video. You may notice that the train appears to go across points set in the 'wrong' direction. This is because these points are trailable, and in some cases sprung, meaning that trains can safely traverse them in the direction of travel whilst leaving them set for a different route when approached from the opposite direction. This gives a degree of 'automatic route setting' and can avoid the need to stop and change points so often when only one person is operating the railway.
