Chordplay - The Chords of Queensryche

Описание к видео Chordplay - The Chords of Queensryche

Here's the next episode of Chordplay with The Chords of Queensryche.
This lesson focuses on the unusual and interesting chords and tonalities hiding in several Queensruche classics, including Take Hold Of The Flame, I Don't Believe In Love, Waiting For 22, and many more.

Chris DeGarmo and Michael Wilton worked very well together during their time playing in the band, and after Chris' departure, it was obvious he was a central figure in their signature sound and songwriting approach. No offense to whatever current iterations of this band exist these days, but there's nothing quite like the original line-up of Queensryche in their full sound and sonic diversity with DeGarmo playing and writing for the group.

Their albums Operation: Mindcrime and Empire are essential listening for anyone interested in rock guitar, guitar part layering, and progressive rock songwriting in general. Their approach to layering and weaving two guitarists together is interesting and worth checking out for yourself.
