Syrian Scientist Dies "Mysteriously" as Israel Strikes Military & Research Centres | CLRCUT

The assassination of Dr. Hamdi Ismail Nadi, a prominent Syrian scientist in Damascus, has sparked fears of a targeted purge following President Bashar al-Assad's ouster. Dr. Nadi, renowned for his contributions to advanced chemistry and pharmaceuticals, was found dead under mysterious circumstances on December 10. His death has drawn parallels to the post-2003 US invasion of Iraq, which saw widespread targeting of Iraqi elites. This incident coincided with Israeli airstrikes on December 9, targeting the Syrian Scientific Studies and Research Centre (SSRC) near Masyaf, believed to be a hub for manufacturing missiles and drones. The strikes killed at least 25 people, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).
