As year comes to an end. I've completed the Quran which I started this year. So, I've started the next one. Since I was a teenager, its been a habit to read it end-to-end throughout the year. It is always a relevant guide for us for different issues we face.
All my life, I've made sure I read the Quranic translation regularly. My mother gifted me Pickthal's Glorious Quran when I was fifteen years old after my Matriculations. I've read it many times. It started from reading it for the first time, that too with translations. Then, Molana Modudi's, and Tahir-ul-Qadris in Urdu. Lately, I've been reading Farooq-e-Azam's. It is so important to understand what one is reading. That too, on a daily basis. It invariably connects us with relevant information about what is going on in life, and in the world.
End of year brings us to the wedding season, which is at its' peak, and wedding halls are getting more glamorous. In the end, I've shared some thoughts on all the drama that invariably accompanies every wedding. It is so tempting to find things to gossip about. It is very important to focus on the good sentiments of the hosts, and avoid the juicy bits of gossip.
