Root Chakra — Mūlādhāra is the chakra of stability, security, and our basic needs. The root chakra is comprised of whatever grounds you to feel stability in your life.



The Root Chakra provides the links between our energetic system and the physical world and is our base for our life force energy.


The Root Chakra is a 4 petal lotus flower and is linked with the color red in most beliefs. However, other cultures and beliefs define this different.

My story with the Root Chakra:



My journey of art and spirituality started with a total disruption in my root. 5 years ago I was in an internship for college. I could feel the effects taking place in my physical form and also confusion spiritually. My health was confusing, my values were confusing, my face was covered in terrible acne, and I was . I was so stressed out trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life and also trying to follow what other people thought I should do.



I was silly and disrupted this even more by participating in yoga that was specifically for my root. This made it feel as if my life was falling a part and I was out of control. The yogic effects impacted my life through work, family, school, relationships, and self doubts. I know now that I went through what I went through for a reason.... to bring me where I am now.



Years later I would learn to balance my energy by channeling the stress into art and creativity. I learned to calm my mind through self love and meditation. I transformed into a vibrant woman with a gift to share with the world.


Listen and be aware of your body to feel your true strength and passion within. The body will speak to you and tell you what it needs.
