Texas authorities arrested Theodore Khnanisho, 47, on August 5, 2025, for tampering with a government record in a bid to secure a job with the Bruceville-Eddy Police Department. Investigators say Khnanisho submitted an outdated version of the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement personal history statement instead of the current form he was given, revealing multiple discrepancies in his application, including false or omitted information about his identity, work history, and criminal background. TCOLE records show he applied to about 55 law enforcement agencies since 2017, held more than 30 jobs—many ending in termination—and at times used references willing to support false claims. The warrant alleges he knowingly falsified the application on June 12, 2025; he was released on a $20,000 bond.
