Indian Automobile Industry Make Donations To Fight COVID 19

The world is currently fighting this deadly virus called Corona Virus, while the number of cases in India is increasing day by day. Hence to fight against corona, the government decided to declare lockdown which will help in social distancing. To fight against the virus, many industrialists have donated a good share of their earnings to overcome this. Many players from the Automobile industry have also come ahead and donated. Let's check whom all have donated for this cause.

TVS Motor Company, a reputed manufacturer of two-wheelers and three-wheelers and its Group Companies TVS Credit Services Ltd., Sundaram-Clayton Ltd., and others today announced their commitment to donate Rs. 25 Crores to the PM’s Relief Fund (PM-CARES) to aid the battle against COVID-19. This is in line with the company’s continuous endeavor to ensure prosperous and sustainable communities. It is in addition to the ongoing activities being already undertaken through Srinivasan Services Trust, the CSR arm of the group.

Bajaj Group has stood strong with communities, government and local authorities to make a positive difference to society. In the ongoing fight against COVID-19, we all need to come forward in ways more than ever before, to ensure that all citizens of our country have access to healthcare and other necessities of life. Bajaj Motors pledged Rs. 100 Crore to the fight against COVID-19. Working with the Government and their network of over 200+ NGO partners will ensure these resources reach those who need it the most.

MG Motor India too announced a donation of Rs. 2 crores for the government hospitals and health institutions providing medical assistance in Gurugram and Halol (Vadodara), where the carmaker’s facilities are located to ensure the health and well-being of the medical staff and underprivileged sections of society. MG Motors India stands with the government of India to fight and overcome the spread of the pandemic of COVID-19.

Tata Group also made an initial donation of Rs 500 crore to the government to fight against the recent pandemic of COVID-19.
