VanEck has announced it will waive fees on its proposed spot Ethereum ETF until it surpasses $1.5 billion in assets, after which it will charge a 0.2% fee. This period could extend into 2025 unless the threshold is met earlier. VanEck's move mirrors its strategy with its Bitcoin Trust, where fees were also waived to attract inflows. The firm, managing $102 billion in assets, aims to lead on competitive crypto ETF fees to encourage investment in Ethereum. This development comes amid rising competition, with Franklin Templeton charging 0.19% for its Ethereum fund and other major issuers yet to declare their fees.
