We join P.S. Waverley at London Tower Pier in October 1993. On departure Waverley turns with the assistance of a tug and passes under Tower Bridge. We call at Tilbury and pass the preserved Clyde Puffer "VIC 56" in steam and underway before we call at Southend-On-Sea pier. We then head for Clacton, passing close to the Swin Spitway and Wallet Spitway buoys and with company provided for some of the way by the Essex Police patrol launch "Alert III". The cruise ends as we arrive at Clacton Pier, although Waverley retraced the route to London later that day.
