This morning, we set out with a plan to explore Manyeleti Game Reserve. But as torrential downpours greeted us, We were concerned that the muddy roads might be too much for our car. So we decided to reroute and head into Kruger National Park.

Little did we know that this change of plans would lead to an unforgettable encounter! Near Satara, we came across Casper, lounging alongside his brothers right next to the road.

We spent some time watching him, until he stood up, shook off his rain-soaked mane, and settled into a new spot. For my mom, it was her first-ever sighting of Casper, and for me, my third — but no less special.

Sharing this incredible moment with my mom @booshflybabe_karen made it even more meaningful. It’s moments like these, filled with unexpected surprises, that make summer in the bush so magical! 🌿
