SV2CZF AM Ferrite Antenna Review And Comparison With Other AM Loop Antennas

I recently purchased the sv2czf am ferrite rod antenna to see if I can improve on my am dxing receptions. However I was a bit surprise on how well the loop antennas performed compared to the ferrite rod antenna. I was even more surprise at the Tecsun PL-360 stock snap on AM antenna outperformed the AM ferrite rod antenna. I was even more impressed at the The Select A Tenna AM Loop Antenna and Terk Advantage AM Loop Antenna was better than Tecsun AN-200 AM Loop Antenna. My final conclusion is that for more of a value I would still go with the Tecsun AN-200 AM Loop Antenna. For slightly higher price I would go with the Terk Advantage, however it covers 530 - 1600 kHz. The Select A Tenna is more of a Vintage buy and you have to be careful when buying one on Ebay. The Tecsun AN-200 AM Loop Antenna covers 530 -1710 kHz and it is the lowest cost AM Loop Antenna in the market today. The AM Ferrite Antenna was the more expensive and least performing out of the four antennas featured in this video. One other finding is that all the antennas performed better when using inductance coupling rather than connecting the antennas using the 3.5 mm connection.

Therefore I can't recommend a buy on the AM Ferrite Antenna especially at $39.99 and more with shipping. If you want more bang for the buck then I would go with the Tecsun AN-200 AM Loop Antenna around $35 or Terk Advantage AM Loop Antenna for around $50.
