Feira Franca and a Galician Pig Roast with The Recipe Hunters

Описание к видео Feira Franca and a Galician Pig Roast with The Recipe Hunters

Feira Franca is a medieval festival held on the first of Saturday every September in Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain. The festival takes over the city, offering its inhabitants and visitors a peek into ancient medieval times. Galician traditional foods and desserts blanket the stalls and tables, knights battle on saddleback at the nearby stadium, and pigs roast on spits around every corner. While visiting Pontevedra, we met a girl who tells us that her uncle will be hosting a pig roast the following day at the Feira Franca. Anthony gets her uncle on the phone and before you know it we are by the side of Alfredo Vazquez Gonzalez, a passionate Galician cook and master pig roaster, partaking in the festivities with his family.

A huge thanks to our favorite Galician band Pelepau for their music collaboration! The songs played here are: Maracatú, O Gato, and Xa me dixo teu pai from their album: Fío e agulla
