Witnessing the rise in racist attacks against Indians in Ireland is deeply troubling. There are also similar racist attacks on the rise in Australia, the USA, and the UK.

Indian #immigrants are generally highly educated and some of the highest-earning groups in Western countries. They bring culture, care, and innovation to Ireland, yet are finding their daily lives disrupted by fear, harassment, and sometimes violence.

#hate speech is one of the major reasons for these racist attacks. While uncovering racist attacks against Indians, I also realized that such attacks also happen against Brazilians and other Latin American people.

Some serious actions need to be taken against hate speech and the spread of misinformation.
