According to the World Health Organization, 1 out of 5 young people is struggling with a diagnosable mental health condition.

In our experience, it is one of the biggest stressors for a teen to encounter a friend struggling with their mental health because they "don't know what to say" and "don't want to say the wrong thing." Additionally, they don't know when things are serious or if someone is having a bad day.

Some of our MHFA'ders also told us that they realized how to tackle their own mental health struggles by learning MHFA because they were no longer turning to google and unreliable websites to get information.
