TRIP REPORT | Brilliant Flight to Singapore! | Singapore Airlines A350 | Bangkok to Singapore

Singapore Airlines Trip Report flying from Bangkok to Singapore onboard one of the Singapore Airlines A350 on a lovely sunny afternoon.

A very comfortable flight onboard the Singapore A350 from Bangkok to Singapore. The flight was fully booked, but as this plane is designed for long-haul routes, this 2-hour flight was really easy to do.

We started our journey at Bangkok airport. I think this is the airport with the most shops that I've seen in my life. It's just incredible de huge amount of them. After an extensive tour of the airport and a small planespotting session, we boarded the Singapore Airbus A350 that would take us to Singapore.

We took off heading south and we flew all the way down over the Gulf of Thailand until we reached Malaysia. We flew just for a few minutes over this country before starting our descent to Singapore. Just before the descent the captain informed us about storms surrounding the Singapore area and that we could expect a very bumpy approach into Singapore.

And yes, the truth is that they were there, but luckily not that big... The approach and landing were really nice, especially the final approach in parallel to Singapore Island. After a long taxi, we finally reached our gate at Singapore Airport.

Regarding the onboard service, Singapore has a particular catering service on these flights. They offer a warm meal and a dessert. The package is very unique, all in paper boxes. It doesn't look as glamorous as the classic meals, but I must say it was quite tasty. There were 2 options: chicken with mashed potatoes or a shrimp-based meal. The dessert was the first green cake I've had on a plane. Strange taste... but it was good! Strange but certainly good :)

All in all, a great experience flying with the Singapore Airlines Airbus A350 on my first flight in eastern Asia. I'm looking forward to seeing what flying short-haul on the Boeing 737 MAX looks like with Singapore Airlines. Hopefully coming soon!
